Subject: AP Collaboration Opportunity
Dear AP Coordinator,
Once again through the generosity of the Lumina Foundation and the American Student Achievement Institute you are invited to participate in the Annual AP Collaboration Day. This event continues to receive positive feedback and grows larger each year. This year the focus will be, "Where are your future AP students?" The collaboration event will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Arsenal Technical High School, 1550 East Michigan Avenue. Dinner will be served from 4:30-5:30 p.m. with discussion to follow.
Both new and experienced AP teachers are encouraged to attend. Some topics of interest will include:
- Are you frustrated by the disconnect between success in your class and your AP scores?
- What are some recruitment and/or support programs that have been effective in improving the number of students and raising their scores?
- Is there room for AP, IB, and dual credit programs in your school?
Attached is a copy of the AP Collaboration flier for you to share with your
staff. I would appreciate your helping in getting the word out about this
event. If you have trouble opening the attachment, please give me a call
at 227-4565. In addition, I will also send hard copies of the flier to
your school. Please let me know approximately how many you need.
Those interested in attending should RVSP by October 29, 2007.
