ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Information about the conference can be found on the pages linked on the left.

TIME AND ROOM ASSIGNMENT:

To learn your session's time and room assignment, see Conference Sessions.

REGISTRATION:

The "lead" presenter for each session has already been registered for the conference as a complimentary registration.  All other presenters attending the conference must register online.  Presenters who are not attending the conference should let Kerri Hojem (812-349-4142) know that they will not be attending.

HANDOUTS:

It is always difficult to advise presenters regarding handout numbers. Most years, our conference is attended by approximately 1,000 educators. During break-out sessions, they will divide among 15 sessions. If participants split evenly, you would have 67 participants per session. Please keep that in mind when determining the number of handouts to bring.  If you anticipate that your topic may be popular, you might want to bring additional handouts.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE:

  1. Go to the registration table to receive your registration envelope which includes a name badge.
  2. Be at your presentation room fifteen minutes before the start of your session to meet your host/hostess.

SESSION CONTENT:

Participants attend the Indiana Conference on Learning to "shop" for educational strategies. At the start of the conference, we will ask participants to 1) identify the barriers to learning that exist at their schools, and 2) select break-out sessions that introduce possible solutions to those barriers. Think of your 45 minute presentation as a quick introduction to the strategy you are presenting. Simply tell your story. What is the strategy? Why did you implement the strategy? What were the challenges to implementing the strategy? Did you have resistance? Has the strategy been successful? How do you know? Think of your session as simply an opportunity to share your story with a group of interested friends. Your name, phone number, and email address are listed on our website so those wanting additional information can contact you following the conference.
