FEBRUARY STEPS

The design of the 2018-19 SIP is now well underway. Data has been discussed and PAIs and SMART goals have been determined. February is a month for discussions on what is inhibiting positive movement of the achievement data. The following steps outline the work plan for Teams during February:

The Student Body Discussion will ask students, "What is interfering with learning at our school?"
Reminder: It is vital that all students have a chance to have their opinions heard.

The Council, after looking at the current Root Causes, will see if any new causes have come to light.
Reminder: Keep your current SMART goals handy to make sure the proper subgroups are being addressed.

To recap, the items needed for submission in February include: Student Body Discussion 4 summary; Council 4 summary; Root Causes. Please have these items submitted by the February 28 deadline.

Note: You can't proceed to the February items until you have met criteria on all the January items in the following order: Council 3/Student Body 3 summaries; PAIs; SMART goals.

CATCHING UP

If you find that your SIP is running behind schedule, now is the time to set up a conference call with the Steering Team and Tina in order to put a catch-up plan in place. February has arrived--it is essential that throughout this month your Team works diligently to get all items up-to-date in order to finish the plan on time.

TINA IS AVAILABLE TO HELP SCHOOLS WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

In order to better serve our schools this semester, Tina will be working regular hours of 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. She will be available from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesdays starting January 17. If you’d like a pre-arranged conference call anytime,  please contact Tina to set a date and time.
