ASAI Title I Toolkit

Schools seeking or holding Title I Schoolwide status are expected to include ten components in their School Improvement Plan.  Some of these components have to do with school improvement planning such as analyzing data and involving various stakeholders in improvement planning.  InSAI schools automatically include the Title I SW planning components as they progress through InSAI's Vision-to-Action process.  Other Title I SW components require schools to implement specific practices such as striving to attract highly qualified teachers and providing significant parent involvement.  InSAI schools include strategies in their School Improvement Plans to address these components.  They also include exhibits in their school improvement plan that demonstrate the implementation of these practices.

This publication is designed to help InSAI schools seeking or holding Title I Schoolwide status to develop meaningful strategies related to the required practices found in the Title I Schoolwide components.  For each required practice, the reader will find 1) a brief overview, 2) requirements related to the practice, 3) sample strategies, and 4) resources.  These items should enable InSAI schools to implement sound Title I Schoolwide practices that positively impact student achievement.

Additional information may be found on the Indiana Department of Education Title I Academic Support office.
